How is streaming affected if I'm paid in advance?

This information applies to those on an Advance payroll. If you're paid on Arrears, please see How is streaming affected if I'm paid in arrears? instead.

What does "paid in advance" mean?

Being "paid in advance" means your employer issues your salary before the pay period ends.

Example: John Smith's pay period runs from October 1st to October 31st, but he is paid on October 25th.

What does "paid in advance" mean when using Financial Wellbeing?

With Financial Wellbeing, you can access your earnings as soon as your employer uploads your shifts to the app. This allows you to stream your pay throughout the current pay period, up until payday.

If your payday falls before the pay period ends, your earnings will already be included in your paycheck. In this case, your access to Financial Wellbeing will be temporarily disabled until the next pay period begins. During this time, your Stream page will display a message saying 'You've been paid':

Example: John Smith can access his wages from October 1 to October 24. He is paid on October 25. His access to Financial Wellbeing is disabled from October 25 to October 31 and resumes on November 1.
